Uneven wisdom teeth
I have got wisdom teeth on both the upper sides however both have been improperly erupted leading to problem in brushing and eating. Also many a times, whatever I eat get stuck over the uneven area and cause irritation. Can the wisdom teeth be aligned properly or have to remove the same?? How much time will it take to aligne it?

Hi,It is not advisable to get the wisdom teeth aligned. If it is causing too much discomfort get them removed as they being improperly placed are not useful for biting also.

The only option for a wisdom teeth is....., to get them removed as they are not properly aligned so they will keep on creating problem for you in the future also and if they get decayed due to food lodgement then they have to be removed surgically . these teeth cannot be aligned and these are not required for chewing food so better to get rid of them ASAP.
Health Tips
Get them removed at this point of time because once they get decayed they have to be removed in pieces surgically , but right now it can come out in one piece.

Hello there. Now the usual problem is that by a certain age like around 18 to 20 years the jaw development is almost complete, rather earlier in females. Next, the wisdom teeth erupt in the mouth later by around 21 to 25 years of age, may be later in some. So the wisdom tooth or the third molar has to struggle to come out, leading to malalignment or it being impacted. The usual process is removing it completely because there is no tooth beyond it or rarely we may be able to perform a procedure called operculectomy in which we may be able to expose the tooth by displacing the adjacent gums, this procedure is highly selective and may not be fit for all cases. Aligning this tooth is a relatively difficult procedure. I recommend visiting a dentist and getting a small, intraoral or a full mouth Xray done to see how the tooth is positioned. You can visit us at care-dental.in for more information. Cheers, Dr Amit Sadhwani MDS.
Next Steps
Xray
Health Tips
Chill, sit back and relax the procedure of extraction or operculectomy is a routine thing.
