Many years ago my girlfriend came home and told me that she had been to the doctor for a checkup. She said she has a yeast infection, and that the doctor asked if she was sexually active. We were, and she was on the pill at the time, so we were not using condoms. She said the doctor gave her a medicine that I took for one week to clear up the issue. My question is - can a yeast infection be transmitted to a male partner, and would a doctor ever give medicine without seeing the male patient?
