Unable to walk of his own
My father had a operation in the hip. Since then he is in bed redt. He also has dementia due to which he is unable to move if his own. The physiotherapist does some exercises onhis legs and walks him for a few minutes daily. Though he is very unwilling to walk or even to sit in the bed. He is taking many medicines for sugar, pressure and uric acid. He is also taking pradaxa 110 .My question is how long should he continue using pradaxa?

I am not sure for what pradaxa is started , most likely cause would be to prevent deep vein thrombosis and is likely dreaded complication PTE. Having said that it will continue till he gets mobilised at earliest - I mean he is out of bed and physically active
