Unable to remember the past

Asked for Female, 12 Years

She was 3 when she left the side of her family ,we have tried so many times that she will at least remember something but she is not.She don't remember any of her siblings even her own father when they try to introduce them self to her. She is twelve years now and she had been finally brought home and it seems nothing in the house can even remember her anything. Please how can we go about such situation like this

3 is too young an age to be able to remember. There was a 9 year gap in reuniting with parents. Its not surprising that she doesn't remember. The best way in this situation is to give her time, if the memories have to come back they will. If not, then this should not affect her present. Her current life should be normal and not a daily reminder of the fact that she doesn't remember about her 3 yr old self .
