Ulcerative colitis flare
I have been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis since 9 months and i have been having flare ups every 2 months. I want to know, is it normal ? Should I consult a gastroenterologist immediately ? Medication : Am on pentasa 2g graules twice a day and I use melaso foam as steroid during flares

Yes, please consult gastroenterologist. You may require azathioprine or higher treatment if there are frequent flares. Please meet Gastro. Adarsh CK

Flare ups shouldn't happen when on treatment.. Please consult a gastroenterologist. If you from JP nagar you can consult Dr Poorna Chandra who specialises in this.
