hello,
you can add a pinch of baking soda in water and rinse with it. this will help to heal the ulcer. if it still persists, then you need to consult a physician and get your Vitamin B levels checked. if required take supplements for it.

The reasons could be many like:- 1- stomach upset, 2- eating too much spicy food or outside food, 3- dental related could be due to any biting by the teeth (which seems to be less in your case). Consult with a physician and take some B-complex medicines.

It can be because of stress in life
It can be because of sharp cusps of teeth
It can be because of improper digestion.
