Type 1 or type 2
My doctor said I have type 2 diabetes, but my c peptide levels are just .14ng/l and normal levels are .8 to 4.2 , which means mine is a type 1 or type 2. I'm taking insulin twice a day, so is my immunity compromised?

The tests that hemp exclude type 1 and type 2 diabetes are C peptide and antibodies. ( The latter are positive if you have type 1, these attack pancreas and worsen it’s function) C peptide alone is not sufficient to differentiate between type 1 and type 2 Diabetes. It can be low in type 2 diabetes in case of high sugars or insulin use. Having uncontrolled sugars in diabetes ( both type 1 and type 2) can make you immune compromised or increase susceptibility to infections. Insulin does not compromise immunity
