Tuberculosis or not???
My Mantoux test came positive. But in my colonoscopy biopsy report, TB germ is not detected. I have colonic ulcer only in my colonoscopy report. Blood test came normal. Sonography normal. CT scan normal. I had only stomach pain, vomiting, weight loss, that's why I went to gastroenterologist. I dont vomit blood or anything else. But doctor saying i have TB. So im confused. Please help!

Hello..... Mantoux test is not confirmatory for tuberculosis.. Sputum examination ,blood cultures are used for confirmation.. If blood culture is negative it's not TB...there could be some other cause for abdominal pain... Further tests are needed for diagnosis....
