Hello there! Sometimes tooth fracture does not elicit any pain if the tooth is already non-vital (dead). Whether the tooth can be salvaged or not can only be confirmed by visual/ radiographic examination. The treatment plan for a fractured tooth can vary from a filling/ root canal/ extraction based on the severity.
