Please consult a good dentist for a clinical and xray check up. Diabetes will cause gum inflammation maybe but usually not toothache. There must be some decay present. feel free to consult Laser Smile Care Centre. God bless..

I do understand that your mother has tooth pain. Tooth pain usually is due to the decay which has reached the pulp part of her tooth. Please get a consultation done to know what is the exact reason for her tooth ache with a qualified nearby Dentist
Pain in ur mother's tooth is due to infection and because of diabetes (sugar), diabetes do not cause false or carious teeth, so to get her problem fixed get her to your dentist for proper medication n treatment immediately before any other complication occures
Diabetes does not cause tooth pain itself. The cause of pain could be infection/ decay in tooth. Diabetics are more prone to tooth / gum diseases as uncontrolled glucose level interferes with body's healing and repair mechanism. You need to take her to dentist for proper check up.
