Bad breath has multiple causes. The cavities that you speak of will also lead to bad breath because they trap food which then decomposes and causes bad breath. You will require professional tooth cleaning and the treatment of the cavities

Halitosis or bad breath is usually due to plaque and calculus. A simple cleaning will usually solve the problem for most people. If it is something more than your dentist should be able to help.
