Tooth implant required
I had my molar tooth extracted one week before. Now artificial tooth will be placed. Please suggest what are the ways of placing artificial tooth except tooth implant. As it costs very expensive.

Look into advantages and disadvantages of each of the options offered to to you. Going by the best method and viable long term option dental implants is a choice by default. If there are financial constraints then opt for something which is temporary and at a latter stage decide on an implant.

Hi, Considering your age i suggest you to go for implant if sufficient amount of bone is available. Because the next option will be the Fixed prosthesis for which you need to trim the healthier adjacent teeth to take support. Money yes it might be expensive but if u consider for long term you might have to experience more trouble and more money and more appointments. So take a proper decision now itself. But ya if money is your primary concern the next option is always Bridge( Fixed prosthesis) which already explained that you need to take the support of adjacent teeth and replace the missing one.

Other options are fixed and removable prosthesis.
(1) for fixed prosthesis we need to chop off both the adjacent tooth.
(2) go for fixed, only if your adjacent tooth are healthy, (healthy gums and bone of adjacent tooth)
(3) implants are usually good only if you have good bone. Else they might fallout.
(4) for fixed prosthesis, we have different material:metal, ceramic, full ceramic, zirconia.
Zirconia being the strongest.
(5) keep implants as an option too, nothing is expensive if u want an missing part of your body to be replaced.

Hi..You can opt for a 3 unit ceramic bridge. .or a removable partial denture. .or a ring appliance. .to take support from adjacent teeth. .but yes implant is any time a great option if considered in the long term treatment and benefits. .rest can be decided after clinical examination. .hope it will guide you .

Hi, so unfortunate to hear at the age of thirty u have lost a tooth. Now coming to the replacement part, the suggestion what has been given to u for an implant is the best by your dentist. But bcoz of cost factor u want to know about the alternatives.
1. Removable dentures are one cheapest option available( nobody these days opts for it) and for your age it's very difficult
2. In fixed options ( where the patient need not remove the prosthesis for any cause), u have bridge and an implant. Bridge is by taking support from your front and back teeth and replacing the missing teeth. No doubt that the adjacent two healthy teeth has to be chopped for this. It's not harmful as its one of the routinely done procedures in dentistry. If u calculate money for a three unit bridge and a single implant u may save only a bit of money by opting a bridge. But as a patient what u should think is, on a long run if the bridge fails u will loose another two teeth which has been taken as support for the bridge.
Think wise and make a decision. V r here to help u. As other doctors suggested implants would be the best option for your age.

first of all decide for you want to go for a fixed prosthesis or removable one. removable one is with a pink acrylic plate and teeth attached to it. it has to be cleaned daily after removing from mouth. you must have seen them with your grandparents.
in fixed option you can go for a bridge where a support is required from adjacent teeth. last and best solution is the implant. it mimics a natural tooth both functionally and esthetically.
and removable one is the cheapest and implant is expensive

Hi, Other than Implants the option you have got is a removable denture in which the missing teeth is placed in a pink plate which is made of acrylic and the other method is to make a Fixed partial denture (Bridge) which is done by taking support from the adjacent teeth near the removed tooth by giving a crown to that. Removable denture will be little uncomfortable to use and you got lot of additional maintainance works for that. The best option to replace the missing teeth considering your age is Dental Implant.

Hi
Since the teeth is extracted a week back , you have to go for a temporary bridge till your extraction site is completely healed. This will take around 3 months . Post that go for final bridge. Get RCT in associated teeth if required

Hello,
Mam,if you are not too keen on implants,then the only fixed option would be a bridge.Unlike implants this procedure would require trimming of your adjacent teeth/abutments.

There are three ways of replacing teeth.
1. Removable partial dentures, I.e removable pink resin plate with teeth. This is the cheapest.
2. Fixed partial bridges, here adjacent healthy teeth are used for support and a three or more unit bridge is fabricated at the dental lab and then fixed in your mouth permanently. This costs depending on type of cap/crown you opt for.
3. Dental implants, which is the best method of replacement in today's date as no adjacent healthy teeth are used or touched.
