The extent of decay will determine the treatment. If no pain and it's not reaching nerve, then restoration(filling). If otherwise then root canal. Visit a dentist without delay.

Hi,If the decay is superficial a filling can be done but if deep x ray has to be taken to evaluate the depth of cavity to rule out root canal treatment.
