For any addiction, there needs to be a long term treatment plan where you have to follow your psychiatrist regularly so that treatment can be optimised as per the response and simultaneous motivation Enhancement done.
I am not sure about Ayurvedic medicines but the matter of fact is that addictions can not be treated with medicines alone, ayurvedic or allopathic or otherwise. They can be treated with a combination of Psychosocial Interventions (psychotherapies) along with supportive medications, the former being more important in several cases.
