Throat pain on one side since 6 months
Hi, I have this pain on the right side of my throat since 6 months, beside the thyroid cartilage, hyoid bone, behind and around carotid artery that radiates under the jaw.
Whenever I swallow something, when it passes through that area it pains. Most of the time it has pinching pain.
My both tonsils have white pus kinda patches too since 4 months.
Had 3 courses of antibiotics, it just makes it worse.
Had FOL and CT scan, it was clear. Throat swab showed no bacteria.
So I had a question, can imaging test miss something? Why is antibiotics not working? Why tests showed nothing when clearly I am suffering?
I have this fear of Cancer, can FOL and Ct scan miss it?

At your age cancer is unlikely . And most of the time cancer is painless .sometimes lymph nodes are there which causes pain because of recurrent infection .
Make sure you are doing gargles.and have a healthy food for next 1 month . And if necessary do consult online or offline .
You will be alright .
Generally CT scan PET scan can detect malignancy if it is there . So be relax . And have a follow up .
