Hi. Is your fathers liver affected by cancer or is it damaged to other reasons. If it’s affects by cancer then it becomes stage 4. And it’s final stage. In this stage the treatment option is chemotherapy.
Next Steps
Palliative chemotherapy if liver is affects by cancer. If not then further staging by local examination and clinical examination by Ent would give an idea regarding the local spread and if it’s stage 2 then treatment would be concurrent chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Options for localised throat cancer are surgery or chemoradiation depending on fitness and tolerance of either modality.
