Tendon healing vs bone healing.
Hi sir my name is dilip and I am 34 years old. I am 100 kgs weight and I don't have any sugar or blood pressure and there is no any underlying condition. On September 2012 I met an accident and I broke my wrist. The distal radius bone has been broken and doctor made a surgery in my wrist and he fixed a small plate with screws in my distal radius bone right hand. Last week I experienced a popping sound in my thumb. And after that I was unable to move my thumb. Then I went to orthopaedic doctor and he told that the EPL tendon has been teared. Later he advised to remove the plates and screws and also advised the EPL tendon repair needs to be done using PL graft. now the surgery is over and the plates and screws have been removed and the tendon has been repaired using PL graft. Now I would like to ask you one question. What is the difference between bone healing and tendon healing? What is the time duration for tendon healing and bone healing? will my tendon naturally attaches each other?
