TB and in sputum test no TB.Need advice
I have got blood in sputum, chest pain four months back. I went to a doctor. By taking chest x-ray he said that it is pneumonia and advised to take amikacin injections weekly once for 4 weeks. After 2 months i have repeated same then I consulted doctor he advised to take CT scan.The result in it is focal irregular patchy ares in consolidation right upper and bilateral lower lobes. Doctor said that it is TB and he started TB course. after 20 days sputum test done and no TB. Advise required

With in 2 weeks of starting ATT,  load of tubercular bacilli reduce in sputum and sample  shows neagtive for AFB stain.However it does not mean that disease has been cured.Complete course of ATT with compliance is necessary and indispensable for cure.Follow up with your treating doctor .
