Hello ma'am
First of all
These medicines can be tapered off slowly and stopped in due course
But for that, detailed history is required as to why these medicines were started and since how long and how are you feeling with these medicines
And also along with these, counselling/ therapy sessions are also required so as to have a better results even with reduced dose of medicines
Next Steps
kindly consult online for further management and treatment
Consult with your treating psychiatrist and get it done. It's not something which can be told by messages. Clinical observation for changes on dose titration needs to be done by an astute psychiatrist. Good luck.
At the start of the illness, due to severity of symptoms, multiple medications are prescribed
Gradually over a period of months, medications are tapered one be one
During tapering of medication, symptoms and improvement also assessed
When an individual feels full improvement over a period of 3-4 months or more, main medication as escitalopram in your case is continued, assessing the symptoms also
Please follow your doctor advice and discuss regarding it
Hello. Tapering medications requires gradually moving from the medicine that has least affect on your primary symptom to the medicine which affects it the most. A detailed history would be more beneficial in such case. Without it, it would be difficult to comment on the topic and may cause you unwarranted side affects.
Hii..
Tapering off antidepressants should be done under proper medical supervision to treat side-effects as well as to observe for recurrence of symptoms..
It's not which can be done on own..
Kindly consult a Psychiatrist for proper management
Next Steps
consult online for further assessment and treatment
Hi.. tapering can be done once your symptoms are resolved. However will need further history regarding the same to advise appropriately. Consult online for treatment
You may consult to doctor and taper off the medication. But first of all we as a doctor have to see that since how much duration you are taking medicines and what is the improvement in your symptoms
Next Steps
You can consult me and I will let you taper off your medications after knowing about your illness and improvement you have achieved with these medicines
