Since you are taking both Librium and lorazepam since 1 month, it has to be tapered down slowly. And yes it cannot be stopped abruptly and has to be consulted with psychiatrist and reduce under supervision.
Hi, I appreciate that you reached out with your concern.
If you will stop Librium (Chlordiazepoxide) and Lorazepam suddenly, it can increase the risk of withdrawal symptoms, including seizures. I suggest, to take help of your psychiatrist to provide a gradual tapering schedule to safely discontinue the medications. Meanwhile it is recommended to take professional therapy sessions for withdrawal symptoms management. Therapy, relaxation techniques, hydration, and a structured routine can help manage withdrawal symptoms. Psychometric testing will help to understand personality issues.
