Tanned line like necklace on neck

Doctor, I am noticing a tanned line like a necklace on my neck, It is not velvety to touch, It is not on neck folds actually it is beneath my neck fold. What it can be? I have heard people saying it can be related to metabolism disorder. Is it true?
