Taken norethindrone during pregnancy
Hello, I've had my period on the 13th of September. I went to the doctor on 28 October and he couldn't detect a pregnancy via transvaginal sonography and the pregnancy test had a very thin positive line and so he prescribed me norethindrone acetate tablet for 5 days morning and night. I still didn't get my period so again went to the doctor on the 9th November and got a positive on the pregnancy test. I'm concerned as I've heard norethindrone causes severe defects during pregnancy. The doctor stated it's ok and not to worry. Is he right? Or Should I be worried?
