Tailbone pain
I have been suffering from tailbone pain since last 3 years. it hurting a lot every time while sitting more than 5 minutes . i am doing exercise suggested by the physiotherapist but didn't get relive.

Coccydaemia is a very troublesome condition.Go for Physiotherapy(US+SWD+Lower back strengthening &stretching exercises help). Always use the coccydamia ring cushion for sitting and avoid sitting on hard surfaces.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

You need to get treatment Locally on tail bone as well as Regional of low back, hips and thighs .it will give holistic benefits.their after regional execise.

Dear friend You need to use u shaped pillow or donut pillow along with laser therapy and ultra sound message for few days in your nearest physio center and you will definitely see the improvement.

Coccyxdynia can be indeed paindul and bothersome. Please do 'sits bath'....sit in a warm water tub for 10 to 15 minutes once every day. Use U- shaped cushion in chair. Try to get some Ultrasound Therapy or Laser Therapy with your neighbourhood Physio. This will largely help you.

Once you please consult an orthopaedic surgeon. Take an x-ray. It can also be removed if there is severe pain. Use ring cushion. If you avoid it now the pain increases in future. Rule out and take treatment as soon as possible. Precautions:Do not bend forward, avoid stair climbing, avoid squatting, avoid sitting on floor, do not sit cross legged.

Tailbone Pain cannot be treated just by exercises only as it is caused by compression of the coccyx as we sit by the surface. the MAJOR CAUSE OF THE PAIN IS THE SEAT / AREA Where we sit on. (assuming your's is the case of elongation of tailbone confirmed by X-ray). You will need a special Cushion / seating that minimizes the stress on the Coccyx (tailbone) so that the JOINT REACTION FORCE ONTO the Coccyx is near to ZERO resulting in no pain. Consult with an Occupational Therapist or Adaptive Seating Professional that will help you cushion according to the need. The Cushion is usually Hollow at the Centre on back region.
Next Steps
The Cushion Must Be DURABLE, USEFUL IN RELIEVING PAIN, ACCORDING TO YOUR DIMENSION.

Coccydynia is difficult to treat It tests the patience of patient and orthopedician. The only treatment is meds, ring cushion, life style changes in regards to sitting and hot fomentation or ice application which ever gibes u more comfort. Evem if we get x ray or MRI done there r very few cases where we can intervene. Thanks.. hope that gives u an idea of the path to be followed..

It seem a long time your are suffering from this problem which is called Coccydynia, in this  precautions and rest play an important role use of u shaped cushion is must where you will sit, avoid sitting on hard surface. Because if you will not follow it will disturb the process of healing.rest will do by Physiotherapy treatment and prescribed exercise.take review of orthopaedic also.
