Well you must have traveled on bad roads. Lots of jerks maybe the possible cause. Use soft pillow behind back and sos Painkillers. Should improve with this if not need to consult.

As you described incident well . Its due to pressure and friction occurred while sleeping on bed and on hard surface or due to clothings. Apply ice for 20 min each time thrice per day .put ice in cloth or plastic and then apply. Avoid sitting on hard surface . Avoid massage or any ointment Try to sleep on stomach few days to keep pressure off from tail bone. Use saccro-coccygeal pillow (ring shape pillow) while sitting. It will take few weeks to settle down. as tail bone is place used in all activities like sitting walking and even when sleeping.  As all these activities cannot be stopped hence healing takes time. Please contact us on practo for further assistance and medicine for pain as prescription is required for them.
