Tablet to stop lactation

Asked for Female, 22 Years

Iam Mounika from Hyderabad.my baby is 8 months old and he is taking food and we feeding lactogen also.iam not breastfeeding now but my breasts still lactating.please prescibe me a medicine to stop lactation.please help me

Hi ...I generally advise my patients to breastfeed as long as possible .. usually upto 1 year. When a woman stops breastfeeding the breasts gradually stops producing milk. If it's bothering you very much you can visit a doctor who can prescribe you medication to stop producing milk. Thanks Dr Deepti Gupta
