Swollen thumb
Aged 58, the thumb is painful and swollen without any apparent cause of trauma. Can't be bent. Dipping in hot water not relieving pain. The nail seems fine, not infected. The pain is in the joint. Previous history of weak bones and fracture. Takes medicine for osteoporosis. Also suffers from various joint pains and back pains.
