Hello
Only medications can not solve the problem of swelling. The cause of swelling that is tooth in your mother's case, has to be addressed. If it is a wisdom tooth, it has to be removed. If other tooth examination has to be done if it can be restored by root canal therapy if not, removed. Do not use warm water as it might increase the swelling. As warm and moist environment facilitates microbial growth.

Hello,
you can do warm salt water rinses as a home remedy, but this will give you only temporary relief from pain. you need to visit a dentist and get it checked. get an x-ray done. there might be infection to the root of the tooth, you need to get it treated. then get a crown placed over it.
Unless the treatment is started the pain and swelling would not be relieved. You will have to ho either for a root canal treatment or an extraction as soon as possible.
Hello ma'am
Greetings of the day. Consult an oral surgeon so that he can diagnose and treat you accordingly so as to prevent the infection from spreading.
Consult an oral surgeon who is specialist in treating swellings and infections he would probably take an x Ray and then do the treatment which might involve incision and drainage so that the infection and swelling does not spread to other areas and lead to other complications
