Swelling and pain in ankle feet
My father fall from height of 12 feet from ladder on 21 Jan 2020.He had operation of Tibia & Calcaneal fracture on 23 Jan 2020.The Hardware in ankle were removed in month of March April.He walk with walker for some days. Now doctor suggested him Walking Stick from this Month. He is walking with help of walking stick from last one week ,but he is feeling slight pain and also there is swelling on feet. My question is is this normal to have pain n swelling for initial days  or anything serious should be take care of ? My Second question in  how many days he will be able to walk completely normal again ? X ray report taken on 2nd July 2020 is here attached with.& also X ray on 21 Jan 2020 also attached

Please consult the doctor who has done the surgery. Follow up with physiotherapy of the ankle. Do not walk barefoot Fracture seems to be uniting. Mild pain will continue as the foot bears all the weight. Swelling will continue for long. Dont be bothered by it. After consulting with your treating doctors your father can also start exercising Proper examination is necessary. Please followup with your surgeon
