Sudden seizures and fits
A 50yr old female patient of GTCS(GENERALIZED TONIC CLONIC SEIZURES) since 15years. Under treatment with PHENYTOIN 100mg twice daily. Tab.Levipill 750mg was started three years back after an attack of status epilepticus. After starting Levipill, the patient is having occasional episodes of loss of orientation lasting for few mins every episode. The frequency of the episodes is not consistent but sporadic in distribution. Tab.Sodium valproate 300mg was started one month back for the same by gradual tapering of Levipill.

Has d disorientation spells got better with change over to sod. valproate? Dese spells of disorientation may be delirium. Check d sugar levels n electrolytes during such spells. Contact a physician n get detailed evaluation if it reccurs.
