Sudden painful cramps in right leg
Since 2months my mother gets sudden painful cramps in right leg in-between her sleep at midnights ,also during the daytime too. Her right leg thumb slight bent during these cramps.she gets normal after a while These cramps comes very randomly and she feels very uncomfortable due these cramps. Medical history: She is under medication for BP.her BP is normal Regular Medicines she is currently using . Morning Inapure ER 10 (BP) BecoZinc (CTD 6.25mg)not using only for high BP Afternoon Shelcal os 500 (calcium) Night Pregalin SR 75 (nerves) Cilacar T (BP) Inhailer Foracort 100 2-0-2 Nasal spray Duonase 0-0-2(not using now) Currently she is has mild cold/cough,no fever since 2 weeks Lost sense of smell. She is under medication for cold and cough. Planning to get RTPCR test . Is current symptoms any where related to her cramp's She is also over weight and has a heavy body structure. Why does she get these cramps and How can she get rid these painful cramps in her right leg.

I think it could be a side effect of Inapure. This medicine doesn't seem to be indispensable. So it may be worthwhile discussing the use of this medicine with your Physician or Cardiologist. Pregalin also has some side effects. Duonase and Foracort may also be duplication. But the final decision should be taken by your Physician or the Cardiologist. Another thing which may cause cramps is sodium deficiency.   Those can be helped by lime juice. But again it will depend on her BP, how often we give her lime juice. I suggest you please consult your Physician because some medicines may have to be stopped.

can be B12 defeciency or other age related changes
Next Steps
check for vitamin B12 and Vitamin D3 levels

if B12 is less, start on Tablet: Methycobal 500 mcg daily once for 1 month.
