My Suger FBS-126 and PP 184 and Hb1ac-7.4.my Doctor suggest me long acting insulin one shot per day(12 unit) for 3 month with existing medicin.Dr said that it is beneficial and prevent organ damage and also beneficial for Pancreas.I am confuse what should i do.please.

Insulin as per guidelines is to be started at an hba1c of more than 9 . In your situation to comment , we would need the list of meds your on . Based on those meds , it would be feasible to advice whether to add meds and get your hba1c under control or take a call on starting insulin
Try to keep blood glucose in normal range along with Hba1c less than 7. Type of therapy doesn’t matter lot what matter is your blood glucose control along with other parameters …
