I have been having constant pain in my throat for the past 30 days. I went to see a doctor who prescribed me Cefchamp 325 for 10 days and then for another 7 days.
After which he asked me to do a Throat Swab which revealed Staph Aureus as the infection.
Then the doctor administered Azithromycin 250. But it has been 7 days and the pain has not reduced at all, although the infection seems to be reducing as the redness is slightly less than before.

What is the sensitivity report? You should take antibiotic according to sensitivity report that too in proper dose. Also local cleaning like saline or betadine gargle have a definite role.
