Social anxiety and phobia
Have been facing social anxiety and discomfort in facing people since I was 17. I can appear friendly and welcoming at outset but that happens sometimes only and have difficulty in making closer friendships. I always need someone by my side in any social situation or gathering. Cant be by myself. Now that I am in a job and undergoing training with altogether new people I am facing lot of difficulty in even stepping out of my room. I fear of being left alone as people form connections with each other. Don't know what to do. Please help.

I gather from the above message that you suffer from low self-esteem and social anxiety. You need regular 10-12 regular sessions with a Psychologist. To start with, have positive thoughts, read self help books, and do some exercise everyday.
