Hi doctor ... My daughter is 3years old. From last 5days ,she is getting small amount of blood with mucus ( one drop of blood) in nose but it's only in the morning (around 8 to 9am , when she sneezes) . Consulted pediatrician. He told it's common in children due to nose picking, dry air. Almost everyday from last 5days she is getting small amt of blood. Last 15days she fell from jhula and got some wound on nose. She is very active and this is the first time we are noticing this.Blood in nose everyday is common during winter?? Thanks in advance

Not very common.. Nose picking is the commonest reason for nose bleed in case of children. For proper assessment do physical consultation.

Hello, Children are most vulnerable to cause nasal bleeding from nasal trauma. Children have more tendency to clear the nose by nasal pricking this is when it leads to trauma.. This trauma causes nasal bleeding and stops by forming a clot. Whenever u feel like it's dirt and remove the clot it will bleed again. So try avoiding this habit of nasal pricking and clearing.
Next Steps
Whenever it bleeds next time do consult a nearby ENT specialist.
Health Tips
Use nasal saline drops to soften the thick clot and it will fall off by itself.
