Sleep disorder
My mother was diagnosed with hypertension 3 months back but since taking medication for hypertension, she was diagnosed with anxiety disorder which caused insomnia. Medication for insomnia included Zolfresh 10 mg and Zolcalm 10.mg. but with no effect . Sleep was still hard to come so she consulted a different neurologist who prescribed Nitrosun 10 mg. But after a week or so the insomnia returned. Moreover taking these medicines made her fatigued always. She complained about muscles being lose and occasional irratable bowel movement. She is frustrated due to lack of sleep inspite of taking so many sleep medication and still not getting proper sleep. Can you confirm if the diagonsis is correct , and if there is any nerve damage or any deep problems with the brain. She also took a MRI which was normal. Kindly help

Hello, Anxiety symptoms are free floating i.e., it can come and go any time. Secondary to anxiety people can have insomnia or other anxiety spectrum disorder. Once the anxiety symptoms improves sleep will become better. Zolfresh and Zolcalm have same composition and is used for insomnia. Nitrosun is also used for insomnia.
