Sleep apnea
Hello, I'm on epilepsy medication and from past few months I experienced shortness of breath and my pulse sometimes goes beyond 100. A few times in the past few days I have woken up with a jerk or choking like feeling. I recently visited a pulmonologist for this problem. The doctor examined me and said it could be OSA, or sleep apnea. My X Ray was normal and doctor said I dont have wheezing as well. I freaked out after reading about sleep apnea because I'm only 31 years old and about average weight. I need clarification. Thanks

Why sleep apnea if you are normal weight and only shortness of breath .. sleep apnea usually have over weight and scoring in history.. shortness of breath needs a pulmonary function test for lungs evaluation and a cardiologist assessment for cardiac health check up
