Skin tags near genital area
I developed skin tag-like growths near my genitals after testing positive for HPV in 2023. Thuja ointment didn’t help. I’m concerned they may be genital warts and want proper diagnosis and treatment. I’m also worried about any risk to my partner and would like advice on transmission and vaccination.

The growths you describe near the genital area are most likely condyloma acuminata—benign exophytic lesions caused by low-risk strains of Human Papillomavirus (typically HPV 6 or 11). These are common, especially post-HPV positivity, and require proper clinical evaluation as they may resemble other entities like seborrheic keratoses or molluscum contagiosum.
Next Steps
You can consider an online consultation with a dermatologist for confirmation and to plan appropriate treatment—options include cryotherapy, topical immunomodulators, or cautery-based removal, depending on the extent. HPV vaccination is strongly recommended for both partners to reduce recurrence and transmission risk.
Health Tips
Genital warts are contagious via skin-to-skin contact. Practice barrier protection during intimacy. Avoid over-the-counter homeopathy like Thuja, which is ineffective in these cases. Early intervention can prevent spread and recurrence.
