Skin allergy, Urticaria
I have urticaria since last 4 years. I have to take atleast one livocitrazene to suppress the itching. I have tried almost everything... Allopathy, Homeopathy, Ayurvedic treatments but nothing seems to be working. Seeking some serious suggestions on it. Thanks in advance.

Urticaria (chronic hives) lasting more than 6 weeks — especially over 4 years like in your case — is a deep-seated immunological and metabolic disorder, not just a skin issue. The key Ayurvedic approach involves: Calming overactive immune response (due to Pitta-Vata imbalance + Aam) Correcting digestion and liver function Deep detoxification to eliminate histamine-like Aam toxins Long-term immune modulation Yes — chronic urticaria is curable through Ayurveda, but you need a systematic and layered plan, not symptomatic suppression. Let me help with that below. 🧬 Ayurvedic View of Urticaria (Sheetapitta / Udarda) Causes: Pitta-Vata aggravation + exposure to cold, heat, allergens Weak agni (digestive fire) + Aam buildup Hyperreactive Rakta dhatu (blood) due to liver imbalance Allergen memory stuck in tissues ✅ Step-by-Step Ayurvedic Treatment (3-Phase Protocol) 🌿 Phase 1: Stabilize Symptoms & Reduce Antihistamine Need (First 3–4 weeks) consult us for medicines. ✅ You can gradually reduce antihistamines like Levocetirizine once itching is controlled. 🌿 Phase 2: Detox (Optional but Highly Recommended) After 4 weeks, if itching has reduced: Do Virechana (Purgation therapy) under supervision – clears out deep Pitta toxins from liver & blood. Or use: medicine that we give you. 🌿 Phase 3: Strengthen Immunity + Prevent Recurrence consult us for medicines. 🍲 Diet Chart (Anti-Urticaria) Avoid (Triggers) Prefer (Soothing) Milk, curd, cheese, paneer Light moong dal khichdi Eggs, seafood, mushrooms Cooked seasonal vegetables Fermented foods (pickle, idli, vinegar) Warm cumin/ajwain water Sweets, chocolate, bakery Amla, turmeric, ghee Cold water, ice creams Warm water only 🧘 Yoga & Lifestyle Practice Benefit Sheetali + Anulom-Vilom Balances Pitta + Vata Avoid overexertion, fasting, overheating Prevents flare-ups Regular sleep Stabilizes immune response 🌟 Yes, It Can Be Cured — But Needs Patience Many chronic urticaria cases (even 10+ years) have reversed in Ayurveda only with consistent follow-through, particularly after detox + immune re-training. Would you like: A personalized 30-day protocol with timing and doses? A PDF diet chart for daily reference? I'm here to help you fully resolve this — just say the word 🙏 ❗Do not mix fruits with dairy. Very common trigger.

Urticaria is triggered when the body's capacity to handle the allergens around us become low. In other words, the body become very sensitive to allergens. While anti-histamines like livocitrizine is helpful in addressing the immediate suffering, in long run you need to make you body more robust to handle this on it's own. While identifying the allergens is difficult, be vigilant and try to identify and eliminate or reduce the exposure. If you are a non-vegiterian, try giving up non-veg food and outside oily food for a long time to see whether it's working. Today the livestocks are heavily fed with anti-biotics like azithromycin which is a potent and common allergen. When we consume non-veg, we consume the accumulated azithromycin. Also keep a check on constipation if you have.
Next Steps
Get detoxfication therapy (Virechan), which helps take out the toxins deposited in the body. Ayurveda does help. You may try once more, provided you follow the instructions religiously
Health Tips
Avoid Non-veg, Oily food (specially outisde food where oil is used mutliple times). Don;t over eat. Sleep on time and get up early morning. Go to the loo in the morning. Do 15-30mins physical exercise daily

Chronic urticaria indicates deep-rooted Pitta-Vata imbalance with Ama (toxins) in the system. Antihistamines only suppress symptoms temporarily. In Ayurveda, complete detox (Shodhana) through Virechana, followed by Rasayana therapy, is essential for long-term relief. Diet plays a major role—avoid sour, spicy, and fermented foods. Yes, Ayurveda can help manage urticaria permanently when approached in a systematic, personalized way. Kindly consult for a tailored plan.
