Shoulder and arm pain
Hello, I am 59 year old lady , belonging to India but am in Denver, USA currently and won't be able to come back to India for the next 4 months. For almost last 1 month I am having severe pain in the right side of my shoulder and right arm, at times going up to fingers. It's not constant but hurts a lot when I do any work or lift my hand/arm. In fact I have to think before lifting my hand. I had been a patient of breast cancer and had been treated in 2015. Had lumpectomy . It was in my left breast. Had been diagnosed even HER2 positive and was treated for this also. I don't have any problem in left side. I am not under any medication for cancer, though am taking 1 tablet daily of Telista AM for high BP. Don't have any other problem at all . I also take multiple vitamins regularly at certain intervals but no other medicine. I had suffered from COVID here in USA around 25 days before but this pain in arm I had beforehand . Kindly provide your valuable suggestion. Thanks

Most likely your symptoms are due to cervical spine related ,radicular pain .However to confirm you may need an x-ray cervical spine and a clinical examination.Till you fix an appointment with a physician, you can use OTC pain killer as needed and a suitable collar.

Hi dear I am sorry that u are in so much pain but because it's been a month it's very important to find out the cause and treat it . Although it's better to go to an orthopaedic doctor to get urself examined. If in case it's not possible in US for u atleast what u can do is get and Xray of ur spine to see if any nerve is getting trapped there which might cause pain. The other possibility based on ur history could be related to ur cancer for that u will have to do a PET scan but i would need more details in order to confirm if it's required or not . Please consult as early as possible so that u are able to find the right diagnosis and treat it timely Take care

Patient's detailed medical history is required. It is recommended to consult a doctor professional through the Practo app or visit a local medical facility for a thorough evaluation. Please keep in mind that detailed medical history is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment.
