Tick bite marks on the skin are usually very temporary lesions which go away on their own once the ticks are dealt with. If any other lesions still exist on the skin after anti- tick treatment then it is most likely to be a skin infection unrelated to the ticks which will require a vet visit.
Next Steps
First get rid of the ticks. You may use a spot-on Advantix (over 25kg) to be applied on the skin topically between the shoulder blades for about two inches . Do not bathe the dog for two weeks after the application. To get rid of the ticks in the environment use Ride solution (dilute 6ml per Litre of water) and use it to mop the infested premises . Severe infestations may require an additional injection in few cases. Once the parasite infestation has cleared visit your vet to check for skin infections that may have caused the rash.
Health Tips
Do not allow the dog into the wet premises until the chemical dries in the spot.
