Dilated Cardiomyopathy

Hi, My father was diagnosed as dilated cardiomyopathy 5 years back and his EF was 42 percent. Of late, when the Echo was done may be it's 40 percent. He had some symptoms earlier coughing, fatigue but now now.. Just sometimes while sleeping he gets shortness of breath .. I know this is a common symptom .. My question is.. Can we change from Carvedilol to Bisoprolol . Can we see some improvement ? Also, changing from repace 50mg twice a day to valsartan would help in any way ? Is there a lot of side effects in taking Valsartan ?

Feeling of palpitations & postural hypot

I am a 58 yr old female hypertensive patient. I was diagnosed with hypertension along with palpitations 15 years back for which i was recommended metoprolol 100 mg OD. I was doing fine until recently my FBS started to remain impaired constantly & HbA1c was 7.1. My physician changed metoprolol to valsartan 80 mg OD. After switching to valsartan , I have developed racy heart again. I need to know should I continue with beta blocker with impaired FBS or continue valsartan . ??? Regards.

Ejection fraction

I am 25.One day while I was smoking my heart rate raised to 160 along with my bp. Panicking I went to hospital and on some medicine ingested through veins my heart rate was normal in 2 hours. They put me in hospital for 2 days to see if the episode occurs again and did various test which were normal. They discharged with promolex . I referred another doctor and he said I have low ejection fractions ie 50. He did BNP test even that was normal. He still gave me valsartan 80 mg and lanoxin. Everything was fine for a week and then at night I started getting tingling sensation in various body parts like bp was raising. My dilemma is before 4 months I had my body checked along with bp and everything was fine. So what is happening and what should I do in this situation. For now I have completely changed my life style like no smoking and no fats. Please help me as am getting depressed by all this as my age is just 25
