My father suffered from urinary tract infection and enlarged prostrate last year since then he is taking silofast 8 for one year is it a medicine for whole life or is it prescribed for a specific time period is latest test and reports are ok is it safe to take this medicine for more than a year please guide his age is 74 years

Hello Can you please help me with a query if possible. My father in law is taking a medicine named Silofast D for the last 6 months. He was asking me a question today that  since the medicine has reduced the PSA level from 1.9 to normal range now if he continues to take the medicine can it reduce the PSA level further i.e below normal? Since the doctor he is consulting has asked him to continue the medicine for 6 more months. He is worried this will cause further reduction of the medicine below normal range. I am unable to find a logical explanation to answer him kindly help.

My father recently went through angioplasty procedure and 2 stents have been placed. He has been adviced Dytor Plus for 3 months.Additionally he has prostate problem for which he is taking Silofast D4 as well (prescribed by other doc.,He is taking it from a long time) .Now he has says he has to frequently urinate after having dytor plus (which he knew will happen) ..But he gets tired after peeing..I mean i want to ask can these both medicines be taken together ? He gets very tired and panting and weak after every pee session.Kindly advice.
