Targeted therapy

Have done 1 cycle of chemotherapy with oxaliplatin +capacetibine for stage 4 colon cancer .spread to segment 5 of liver and lymphnodes.Biomarker tests shows Nras and kras mutations as wild type and braf v600e mutation as positive. After seeing the reports again continued the same chemo of oxaliplatin+capacetibine as first line of trwatment. Is targeted therapy not work for above gene mutations. If helps when it can be started. Please suggest

CEA level Rising

Sir/ Mam, My mom had been diagnosed with 3A Colon cancer in 2021. She had gone surgery followed by 12 rounds of  Adjuvdnt chemotherapy ( 5FU+ Oxaliplatin). Since last 2 follow-ups, her CEA value has been rising.in Feb-23, CEA was 9.85, and the PET scan was okay.In May-23, CEA vslue 16.20. The doctor is again asking for a repeat of Pet-Scan. Please suggest next level of treatment

Have done with 6 cycles of chemo with capacitibine+oxaliplatin+bevacizumab for stage 4 colon cancer metastasis to segment 5 of liver.after 6 cycles have done pet scan and suggested to continue palliative chemotherapy as surgery is not useful at this stage.can u pls clarify to go with surgery or not.please suggest.

Colonoscopy

I have completed my chemotherapy of 6 months with folfox and oxaliplatin on March 12th 2020..on Sunday I notice my stool was black in colour with slight blood stains.. Just 2 loose stools after that normal colour stool was there but again today got black stool but no  blood.... got my blood test done My hemoglobin levels are 13.2 Only concern point is Amylase is 154 GGT 293 ALT 44.5 Also uric adic is 559. 75 Random sugar is normal.. Also chest xray was normal and sonography reports were normal but doctors have asked for colonoscopy What can be the reason of my black stool?

SEVere abdominal pain after chemotherapy

63 years male diagnoised with stage4 sigmoud colon cancer.Have undergoing chemo with oxaliplatin plus capacitibine tablets. After 2nd chemotherapy and after having chemo tablets getting severe abdominal pain in the morning and midnight. Taking 3 tablets of 500mg in morning and 2 tablets of 500mg in the night. Getting severe lower abdominal pain immediately after having tablets and lasts very long time. Have tried using ultracet,cyclopam,tydol tablets but no relief Please provide the reason as our oncologist also didnt specified anything. Please suggest some medication as not able to bear the pain

My father ,aged 59, was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer on July, 2023, following EUS-FNAC & ERCP surgery. He is also a Type-2 Diabetic pt. On July, 2023, he underwent Whipple surgery as part of his treatment. Post-surgery, he received six months of chemo, which consisted of Gemcitabine and Capecitabine. The chemo regimen involved Gem. administered in 6 cycles, each comprising three sessions per week. Cap. was taken once in the morning and twice at night for 14 consecutive days, followed by a seven-day break. The chemo  concluded on February, 2024. A PET scan revealed metastases to the lungs and liver and underwent liver biopsy.The doctor has advised Teyoges 20mg two times for 21 days with 7 days off, and this cycle is to be continued.Additionally, the patient has received the first dose of Oxaliplatin 150mg on 27th March, with another chemo session scheduled after 3 weeks. currently pt. is too week, having body pain and loss of appetite. can we reduce the dose of teyoges
