Tonsil discomfort

For about a month now my right tonsil has been swollen and very uncomfortable 24/7 especially when swallowing. I was on antibiotics for what my doctor assumed was strep (without doing a test) and nothing cleared up. I also noticed that there's very small white streaks on the tonsil skin.
