My father undergone hernia surgery on Feb 2020.discharge time Dr recommended Dabigatran 110 mg. How many days he has to take it. He is taking last 5 months. Can we stop

6 months ago, I've been diagnosed with Cerbral venous thrombosis ( Left temporal-pariteal hemorrhagic Infract ) and 2 years prior to that I was diagnosed for DVT, after which I was told t take Warfarin for life long. Can I take some advanced blood thinner like Dabigatron instead of Warfarin ( to avoid constant monitoring ) ?

My husband has been recently diagnosed with CVST and prescribed Ecosprin 75 and Dabigatran tab. Please advise what is mg (power of dose) of Dabigatran he should take and what should be the medicine schedule daily? Should he take both the medicines as both do the same work? Kindly Guide.

If I consume a blood thinner at night, and go for a blood d dimer test next day, will it come lower? Father had d dimer 1800 (the report was fishy as it came 5 days later, and sample was transported to another city). So my father, after consultation, consumed dabigatran 150. And next day went for a blood test again, it came out to be 200. He still continued blood thinner for 1 week and tested again, it was 210 My question is, is this low number due to dabigatran, or the first report can be discarded

My mother she is known case of hypertension and diabetes got AKI after which she got dialysis and on same lower limb from where dialysis has been done.she got DVT and after which gone under complication of the same as stroke (right side paralysis).she also got HITT during dialysis and repeated after infusion treatment for DVT. she got fondaparnux 7.5 for two months and she clots and bleed on same dose.now she shifted to dabigatran 110BD for a month and during anti coagulants overdosage.now she is recieving dabigatran 110 OD. My mother has restrictive cardiomyopathy, tricuspid regurgitation and pulmonary hypertension. Doctor has advised sildenafil 20 and Isolazine 20 three times a day but I want to confirm if it is fine to take both of them as I have read at a few places that it could have some serious issues. Please advise. Other medicines are seloken XL 25, Tide (10) and Dabigatran (110).

I have had severe headache for a week with nausea on the first day. As per the doctor's guidance, I got my CT, MRI and venogram and was diagnosed with thrombosis of super sagittal sinus, right transverse sinus and right sigmoid sinus. My doctor has prescribed Ecosprin 75 and Dabigatran tab for a month. I am actually hesitant as I heard these medicines are lifelong medicines and cannot be discontinued. Please let me know what is the meaning of d dimer value 680. My father was covid positive till 23rd APR . Recovered from that . Got low grade fever from 14th May- 19th May. Doctor suggested some bacterial infection , he took antibiotics for that. After which he didn't get fever. Doctor also suggested to go for D dimer test . D dimer show value as 680. He is currently having medicine dabigatran etexilate. I need a second opinion on the same. When will this value comes down. Is there anything else to worry?
