Schizophrenia
Dear Doctor, I just wanted to know whether ayurvedic treatment for schizophrenia be effective like a English medicine ? Current one of my friend who diagnosed as schizophrenia disease from past 3 year undergoing English medicine ( sizodone 1 mg) from past 2 year. As a impact of this medicine, he gained more than 20 kg in last 2 year. Also recently he diagnosed as diabetic also ( ppbs 300 and fbs 199). His psychotic condition is better , he never relapsed from last 2 year but its side effect makes a trouble for him. My query is suppose if he is start to get ayurvedic treatment instead of English medicine , is it gives good results like a English medicine? If Yes how can be withdraw English medicine. I understand that sudden discontinue of sizoden 1 mg may relapse his psychotic eepisodes  Kindly give your valuable suggestion regarding this . Currently my friend working in top professional areas and he works almost 9 hour in a day for 5 days in a week. His physical activity is very low du

Dont discontinue modern medicine.U can start ayurvedic or homoeopathic medicine along with modern medicine. Consult a good dietician for weight loss.
