Scaling and root planing
Hi, My friend has been advised scaling and root planing.....she is concerned is it painful as the dentist told her that he would give her an anaesthetic injection....she is very scared of dentists as well as needles and is not ready to get the anaesthetic injection....is it really important to get the injection...

usually at this age there are no deposits or infection are to this extent so that deep cleaning is required. but if you are advised this procedure it must have been required. dont get anxious over injection. it will be just as discomforting as you are injected elsewhere in body. after that whole procedure will be a smooth ride.
