Role of braces incase of tmj problem
I was suffering from jaw disorder because of excessive jaw clenching... So my dentist gave me a treatment plan to correct tmj...at first I have to wear splint and then ortho treatment with braces. Can you please explain the role of splint and braces to regain my original bite and jaw joint? Is this a correct treatment plan for me? After more than 2 yrs of treatment I am sure that now I am able to chew more comfortable way and my facial appearance is becoming normal slowly... Even though now I am not completely normal. Can you make me believe that I am going through right treatment and my condition is improving? Please please please answer my all the questions and clear my doubts... Please help and give me some advice to manage tmj. Thank you 🙏.

I think you need to relax a bit first. You are yourself saying that there is improvement in your condition. That means you are on the right track. I don't have to make you believe anything. You are undergoing treatment right now, and you can evaluate your condition easily. A splint followed by braces would be a standard treatment plan in your case, as must have been assessed by your Orthodontist. So, trust that opinion.
