Regd. Carpal tunnel syndrome
Hi, I currently have the following on my right hand - pain at times, numbness from wrist to fingers every morning and tingling sensation, discomfort while bending fingers at times. This has been prevailing for the past 3 weeks. Today I suddenly have a tickly sensation when I touch my right wrist. Could this be carpal tunnel syndrome or something else? 4 yrs back when I was pregnant I had similar pain on my left hand (which was diagnosed as CTS) which disappeared after delivery. Earlier I was working in front of system and occasionally had pains. After quitting I did not have much issue. For the past 1 year I have been baking regularly but this issue started only a month back. Since the pain and numbness and other sensation goes off after sometime I haven't thought much about this. Can I wear a wrist splint? When should I consult a doctor? Does increase in weight have anything to do with this type of issues in hands?
