Hi Doctor,
Could you please let us know that whether vaccine 'MENACTRA' is necessary for 2 year old kid? Is it fine if that vaccine is not given to child?
And also let us know the purpose of Menactra vaccine?

It is a vaccine for prevention of meningococcal meningitis. It is a costly vaccine and not mandatory. Meningococcal meningitis is not a very common disease, but can be difficult to treat leaving permanent sequele. So go for it if you can easily afford it, but don't worry if you can't.
